Day to Day Poetry # 46

STUCK
to the surreptitious way your eyes rolled to the side
elbow sticking out to the air, the incline
of your arm descending to your hand,
to those fingertips that curled to the sky,
and an eyebrow that slowly rose to the
music your breath exhaled after you inhaled,
and trembling beautifully, your chest vibrated,
and pierced me to the bone,
the impact so forceful I was drawn aback,
the disarming way
you looked at me
that morning.
