Day to Day Poetry

Day to Day Poetry # 48

surrounded by empty red wine bottles
and half-eaten bags of chips
lined with board game pieces and Maltesers
wrapped in blankets, curled up beside
a window separating me from the snow falling outside,
while the soft hum of running computers and speakers on standby
lull me back to sleep.
